- Yigo Guam Temple
- Typhoon Mawar (Category 4) hit guam on May 24th
- Flooding saturated the carpets and some furniture inside the Yigo temple and at a nearby meetinghouse.
- The typhoon also damaged trees and other landscaping on the temple grounds.
- The temple did not sustain any structural damage, but it will be closed for repairs because of typhoon damage through July 24.

- No one on the island was killed during the storm
- Most homes were damaged, winds of 140 mph
- Members and Missionaries worked to clear water from the building and with the Salvation Army to distribute supplies.

- On June 15th, The Planning and Zoning Board approved the temple, but they put off the decision on approving the 77-foot steeple.
- The city planner argues a steeple is not part of the building height as stated in the zoning.
