        Temple started construction on March 31, 2020 and the temple halted construction from April 1, 2020 to September 1, 2020 due to a government edict from COVID.
        
        Project Manager “President Nelson has decided that the Angel Moronis no longer represent the church, although they represent the gospel and the restoration. The Angel Moroni represented bringing the good news of the gospel through the Book of Mormon. The most important thing is what happens is in inside the temples. Twice a year, when the sun, moon and earth align during the biannual equinoxes, the pororoca — known as a tidal bore — occurs as the tide rises and the river reverses direction. “We can correctly conclude that even the mighty Amazon River must yield to higher heavenly powers,” Elder Renlund said. The pororoca — the word, meaning “great roar,” is believed to come from indigenous origins — results in loud, crashing waves that can travel at least 50 kilometers (31 miles) inland and reach up to six meters (20 feet) in height.

        President Hinckley had dedicated every temple in his presidency up to this point.
        
        He was schedule to dedicated the Halifax Nova Scotia temple on Saturday November 13^th and Regina Saskatchewan on Sunday November 14^th, but his airplane had mechanical issues.
        
        It was decided that President Packer would dedicate Regina on the same day as President Hinckley dedicated Halifax that same Sunday.
