Ryan Anderson, PhD, LMFT, MedFT, received his master’s degree from Brigham Young University in marriage and family therapy. He earned a PhD in medical family therapy at East Carolina University and completed his internship at Duke, with a focus on family therapy in psycho-oncology. He has provided therapy for individuals, groups, and families in community mental health clinics, university settings, inpatient psychiatric units, and hospitals, as well as in the wilderness and in residential treatment centers. He is also one of the co-founders of Telos U, where he and his team help young men and young women with mental health struggles transition into adult roles. Ryan is the author of various professional articles, textbook chapters, and books, and is also a regular speaker at regional and national conferences in his field.
