Deondra Brown performs as a member of the piano chamber group, The 5 Browns. She has released six albums, several of which have topped the Billboard Classical charts for many weeks.
Deondra received her training at The Juilliard School and has performed in elite venues across the world, including Carnegie Hall. She has appeared on The Tonight Show, Oprah, Good Morning America, The Today Show, as well as in the New York Times, People, and Entertainment Weekly, among others.
Deondra and her sister, Desirae, formed the Foundation for Survivors of Abuse (FSA) to help create a face for victims of sexual abuse. They strive to provide hope andencouragement to survivors through working to bring this abuse out of the shadows.
Deondra worked closely with lawmakers across the isle to promote several bills in Utah, including the passage of sexual abuse prevention in elementary schools, and the removal of civil statutes of limitation for sexual abuse. Deondra is collaborating with The Utah Division of Child and Family Services and the Attorney General’s Office as a
spokesperson to encourage reporting of these crimes.
Deondra is involved in a nationwide media campaign to highlight these issues and promote victims’ rights. She and Desirae are currently working on national legislation with U.S. Senator Harry Reid that will be introduced very soon.
