Jolie Hales grew up in Utah, where she received her BA from Weber State University. She later relocated to California to earn her MFA in film directing from Chapman University, launching her career as a filmmaker. Jolie has written and directed a number of films earning her awards around the globe, including a student Emmy for her short comedy, Latter-day Fake. In 2011, Jolie was selected to complete a two-year term as a Disney Ambassador, where she appeared in hundreds of television and radio interviews around the globe. Recently, her familiarity of being both behind and in front of the camera combined with her testimony of the LDS Church led her to create the YouTube channel, “What Mormons Believe,” where Jolie explains the matter-of-fact truths behind LDS beliefs in a light-hearted, personable tone.
