Diahan is a microbiologist who has been a part of the shifting landscape of genetic genealogy for over two decades as she has been in the industry ever since its conception.  Diahan has hundreds of hours of professional consulting experience provided to genealogists and everyday consumers alike aiding their understanding and implication of DNA test results and how best to proceed in their own DNA journey – sometimes that includes wrestling with how to contact potential family members or what to do with unexpected results or how to get into genealogical records themselves.

Diahan is the founder and CEO of YourDNAGuide.  She started YourDNAGuide because of her deep desire to help all people learn about connection, identity, and personal discovery. The mission of YourDNAGuide is to help anyone who has taken a DNA test (at AncestryDNA, 23andMe, FTDNA, or MyHeritage, for example) better understand how to use their DNA to connect with their family.  Diahan’s outreach extends to helping school-aged children understand and embrace this mission of connectedness.
