- Unforeseen conditions found in the excavation of the pioneer-era foundation.
- Foundation from the 1800s and the renovation from the 1960s was not in as good a condition as they thought. (Large gaps)
- Slowed down because “the foundation’s condition didn’t allow for modern equipment to bore into it. So jack-and-bore became jack-and-dig-by-hand.”
- The pandemic and accompanying supply chain disruptions and labor shortages.
- Renovation is now about 50% completed. Now they are starting to build up, rather than take off. Base isolators installed, concrete trucks rolling in.
