Hello Sunshiney Souls!

This week was Zone Conference!!  I was blessed with the priveledge to sing in it!!  We sang “How Great Thou Art!” I sang solo for a couple of lines, and then joined with one of my favorite elders.  We served in Peoria together! Elder Sauer (another one of my favorite elders that was my Zone leader in Peoria) played a version of that song on the piano that he composed.  I was shaking at the pulpit because of the angels I felt helping me!! I know that the spirit was there.  I’m so grateful for the feelings you feel as you praise Heavenly Father.  It wasn’t a performance for the Zone.  It was me saying a joyful prayer, and that’s what made all the difference.  🙂

I learned so much from the spirit.  I’m basically in love with Ether chapter 12 now!!  If you possibly can read it this week, I would highly encourage you to do so.  Faith is what makes the World Better!  And you can never be done with improving your faith!!  Just keep on going!

We had the most wonderful experience with a lady named Joanne Jones.  At Tulip Time,  We gave her our card, and she gave her ours.  Well…I lost it for about 3 weeks!!  I felt horrible, her card fell out randomly when I was going through some papers.  So we went to her house asap.  When we knocked on her door, she immediately let us in.  She told us that she was just about ready to hop into her car and drive away from her family because she needed some peace in her life.  Then she told us SO MUCH about her need for the gospel!  She said she promised her daughter that she would start going back to church in 2013, but she hasn’t started that yet.  And how she was looking for more ways to feel fulfilled.  AHHHH!!!  I do not even know how to thank Heavenly Father for sending her to us when we have felt so disappointed this month.  😀  She truly is golden.  She already said she wants to be baptised on June 28th!  WOW! 🙂  It’s a miracle.  I hope that I never stop feeling this excitement and progression as we witness pure miracles and manna from heaven!!

Then we went finding and prayed for 3 lessons that night and 2 referrals.  Heavenly Father led us right to those goals of ours and made them happen.  We got a new investigator named Randall!!  He has one eye and one leg.  Ga!  He’s so neat!  He told us he is a singer and actor and has taken off his fake leg on stage for a play.  So of course…we made him sing for us.  We sang a hymn also.  That got us right in.  He’s excited to hear more.  We have a lesson with him tonight with our branch mission leader. 😀

I am loving Sis. Cannon more and more!! It’s horrible!! Not really, but it kind of is!  Because we sit up and talk when we should be in bed!  But we’re working on that.  Please know that I am striving to be perfectly obedient!  But I fall short of that so often.  Heavenly Father is so patient with us.  He knows what mistakes we are going to make.  He knows what trials we’ll have in the future.  He is preparing us for them right now.  Please turn to him.  I know He is helping you and doing everything for your good.

Following the spirit is always worth the consequences.  😀  This scripture really stood out to me too this week.  Alma 22:14 about the Atonement that Jesus Christ went through.  I don’t mention it enough…but it really does swallow up any pain we have.
