Dearest familia,

Woah! I think there was something in the air this week, because I’ve been on a spiritual HIGH ALL WEEK!! Listen how blessed my week was:
This sounds like it should be sad, and part of it is, but one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met passed away last week and we got to attend her funeral on Tuesday. Her name was Silvia Bellows. She had polio since she was 5, and never recovered so she was in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. However! She married a man with polio (in a wheelchair) and had 5 children!! They were the CUTEST couple in their CHAIRiots. 🙂
Honestly, I only knew her for 3 1/2 months, but she had us over for dinner a lot and ALWAYS had investigators at our dinners. Every time she spoke I bawled because the spirit that she had was so powerful. Her physical limitations had spiritually purified and sanctified her into a pure receptor of the Holy Ghost. Her funeral was so inspiring, and I felt so thankful to get to know such a lady.

Then we had zone meeting and our zone leaders made me stand up in front of everyone. I was so confused! Then they said, “We wanted to point out some of Sister Tobias’s Christlike attributes.” Then they had just about everyone in our district tell me a compliment! It was to point out how much a compliment can affect someone’s life. IT”S SO TRUE!! I definitely cried from feeling so blessed to be where I was at that time. So they want us to truly compliment our investigators and let them know what true potential they have of Children of our Heavenly Father and how they can become like our Savior, Jesus Christ, if they follow the Doctrine of Christ. I invite you to compliment people more frequently to help them SEE WHAT THEY CAN BECOME. It in turn will help YOU become a better disciple of Christ. 🙂

I’m also so thankful to get to take Sister Sherry Dunn to the temple this week. Everyone at the temple was SO nice and welcoming to her! She was recently baptized and has never been inside the Nauvoo temple. The even more amazing thing is that we took her to the Family History Center to print out her Dad’s name so that he could be baptised. She said she has been dreaming about him non-stop. When she got to the temple, she had goosebumps the whole time. She just had a stroke, so it was really difficult for her and it took a long time to accomplish 5 baptisms, but she was just so happy!! 🙂 :)She said, “If there was ever a day were I felt BEAUTIFUL….boy…that was today!! It was as if God took me by the hand and led me into that baptismal font.”

We also had interviews with president…AH! I love our president sooo much! That was the last time we’ll be with them. I cried. Haha! I can’t even express how much they have impacted me!! They are SO HAPPY all of the time and they have a million problems and missionaries to help. 🙂
We also had a trainers meeting and it was the best testimony meeting I’ve ever been to. We all got to express what training has meant to us. All of the sisters were crying…it was so funny. 😉 The elders were probably thinking, “Oh no…what’s going to happen to the mission field!? They cry so much!” But It was SOO good to hear from my fellow sisters in Zion!!!

We watched Conference with Jessica and she was really reverent, which is normally pretty hard for such a CUTE little spunky girl! She PASSED her baptismal interview, which makes me delighted! She absolutely loves Hello Kitty, and since she knows that I love Yellow, she calls me “Yellow Kitty” and talks with a really high pitched voice. 😉
Since Sis. Maggart was here, we visited with Bro. and Sis. Eyre and they were really hardened against missionary work. They pretty much flat out told us that they were too old for it. So we explained that it’s so fun and easy and it can start in their very own family! Even with their dead…. So we invited them to invite their grand children over for FHE with us. It took 3 months for them to do it, but we kept on reminding them gently to do it. 😉 Eventually they had Jessica over for dinner with us and she agreed to continue getting discussions!!
This weekend Brother Eyre will be baptizing his granddaughter, Jessica Maly!!! See….there’s a reason we call it MISSIONARY FUN!! Because this work is truly a blast when you get to have those tender moments and realize how we can influence people. with the help of the Lord.

And last but probably first in all of the amazing things that happened…was CONFERENCE!!! I was taught through the holy ghost some powerful lessons. I went with a question and in one of the very last talks, it was answered PERFECTLY to me. But that’s not surprising, because that always happens. 🙂

WELL, I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. AS YOU CAN SEE, THERE’S NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!!! WE are all being watched for and cared for with very careful, angelic eyes. I know that God lives. I know that he absolutely cares for your problems and happiness! And I know without a doubt that Jesus Christ still reigns as King. We are priviledged to know about his truth…in completeness!!

LOVES AND HANDSHAKES!!!
SISTER TOBIAS 🙂 🙂 🙂
