Hello again Sun Shine Scatterers!!

Another soul was gathered into the House of Israel this weekend! Paul Proffitt was baptized on Saturday at 7:00!!!! I honestly couldn’t help but feel like I didn’t do very much in this conversion process because of how strongly the spirit worked with Him! However, I know that the Lord needs someone to invite/give commitments and scriptures to help His children progress and feel His love for them. And that’s where the Missionaries fit in!! 🙂
He brought his 2 kids and recent convert Girlfriend to the baptism….Aren’t they an adorable family?? 🙂

The other really wonderful highlight happened with Brighid Flarhety! She is as Irish as her name looks! Haha 😉 I LOVE HER SO MUCH!! She told us a couple of weeks ago that she wants to quit smoking super badly!! So we came over to her home and gave her the “How to Quit Smoking Workshop!” She grabbed all of her cigarettes and ashtrays and showed her kids that she was giving them over to us to dispose of. One of her sons almost started crying and said, “Mom…I’ve been wanting you to do that for so long now!!” So her kids already like us, which is really good. Initially she told us that she was Irish Catholic, and there was NO way that she could ever be something else. But her heart has softened sooo much over the past couple of weeks.

Her cousin had cancer and was in the hospital when the doctor told her that she would most likely die that night. She texted us and asked us to pray for her! So we told her we would, but that she should read Alma 40:11 for comfort. She called her cousin and read it to her over the phone, and within 20 minutes she passed away. Awww…this story was such a tender mercy to my heart!! I am so grateful to get to teach Brighid!!!! Her husband also passed away last May, and so that plays a big part of her heart getting softer. She now says that she is reading the BOM and really likes it! We have a meeting with her this week….CAN’T WAIT!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

And as far as my birthday goes…Church got cancelled due to bad weather and we only held sacrament! So I was pretty disappointed. However, I was extremely grateful that Paul could still receive the Holy Ghost. 🙂 We were also “grounded” and told to stay in. So the members we live with made me a PEACH COBBLER, PUMPKIN PIE (without the crust), and BEEF STEW!!!! So it was totally fun! 🙂 All five of the girls are the cutest pieces of heaven in the world!! They are all like my little sisters! It’s such a blessing to live with them! They give us hugs as soon as we walk in the door, and they all made me a birthday drawing. 🙂 As well as decorated our door! Hehe 🙂 (See the picture to see how sweet they are!)
