Peanut Butter Popcorn
Anyone who knows me knows that I have an absolute obsession with Popcorn. From buttery to kettle, caramel to chocolate covered, I have made it my mission to seek out the most delectable popcorn concoctions. Then one day as I was contemplating my affinity for this popped awesomeness, I found myself wondering if there was any way I could combine another of my favorites……
PEANUT BUTTER!!!!!
One quick Google search later and my prayers were answered…good thing I payed my tithing this month!!
So now without further ado…I present to you the simple and quick recipie for this chewy gift from heaven!!!
Ingredients:
3 Bags Microwave Popcorn (Light Butter)
1 Stick Salted Butter
1/4-1/2 C. Brown Sugar (Sweetness Preference)
1 Bag mini or regular sized Marshmallows
1/4-1/2 C. Peanut Butter (Chunky or Smooth)
Preparation:
Pop 3 bags of microwave popcorn and set aside in a large mixing bowl or pot.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter, sugar, and marshmallows in 30 second intervals mixing in between.
When all ingredients are mixed and have a velvety smooth look, add the peanut butter and mix until smooth again. (You might need to put the whole thing back in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds to get it a little more pourable)
Take entire mixture and pour it slowly over the popcorn continuously mixing as you go to ensure maximum coverage of all kernels!!!
You can let it sit for a couple minutes or even over night if you like a more crunchy treat. Personally I like eating it straight from the mixing bowl when it is all warm and gooey….mmmmmmm…….gooey……….ENJOY!!!
